Call for Abstracts
Over the last few years, Naturopaths & Medical Herbalists of NZ (Inc) has been building a conference culture focusing on the dissemination of information that reflects and supports both traditional practice and evidence-based clinical tools and research. We aim to provide an environment where delegates can learn new ways to enhance their practice and then apply that knowledge. The NMHNZ 2019 Conference organising committee invites natural medicine experts, professors, naturopathic practitioners and researchers to submit an abstract for presentation at our 2019 conference, to be held in Wellington, New Zealand on 28 & 29 September 2019.The submission deadline is 15 February 2019
Presentation Topics
Submissions should relate to original research, reviews or case studies in alignment with our 2019 conference theme: Enhancing Immune Function - Mind, Body and Naturopathy. We anticipate several threads related to this theme including: allergies and atopy, autoimmunity, gut immunity, endogenous & exogenous influences on immune function, modulating immune responses and more. Significant learning objectives related to your presentation must be included in your submission.Selection Process
The scientific committee will review abstracts and select for either Oral or Poster presentation based on the following criteria: • Content • Learning objectives • Relevance to the theme • Significance and originality of material • Documented speaker qualifications and experience All submitters will receive notification approximately 3 weeks after the submission deadline. Oral presentation time and poster requirements will be specified when the program is finalised. Instructions All materials must be free from commercial bias and must be the presenter’s original material complete with appropriate sources/references and relevant disclosures. Both oral and poster presenters are offered a preferred registration fee. All presenters are responsible for their travel and related expenses. All the following must be included in your submission. Incomplete abstracts will not be reviewed. Abstract must be submitted on the appropriate form (Download it here), in MSWord format.
