We accept Naturopathic Qualifications (Diploma and Degree) from South Pacific College of Natural Medicine, Wellpark College of Natural Therapies and Naturopathic College of New Zealand. Applicants trained in Australia who have held memberships within the last 2 years with the Australian Register of Naturopaths and Herbalists (ARONAH), New Zealand Association of Medical Herbalists (NZAMH) or Naturopaths and Herbalists Association of Australia (NHAA) may also register online for direct membership as long as they hold a naturopath qualification.

These documents must be verified by a Justice of the Peace and are required to be uploaded and reviewed before your membership application can be approved. Register online at by choosing the membership registration option.

New registrations for Non-Practicing memberships from the 1st of January, 2022 are only available to those who have graduated from a New Zealand Naturopathic College in the last 2 years with a minimum of a three year Bachelor's Degree. Should you wish to become a member you would be required to join via a non-direct membership pathway and become a full professional member and engage in continuing education.

Non-direct pathways to membership.

Please contact our administrator for more details. There is a one-off cost of $NZ100 which is non-refundable to cover an initial assessment to determine which pathway is most appropriate if you are able to join NMHNZ. Further fees may apply should you require further assessment.

If you are unclear on whether you are able to apply for direct or non-direct membership please contact our administrator for more details.

Amnesty Information

As at February 2021

We are pleased to announce that the NMHNZ committee has decided to extend Amnesty for another year, through to 31 December 2021. We have heard the appeals of those who have been unable to apply in time due to constraints and disruptions placed upon them by Covid-19 and have decided it is important as an association to be inclusive of those affected.

Students enrolled in diploma qualifications this year can apply now as student members and be grandfathered across as full members as long as they keep their Student or Professional memberships current. Diploma graduates are welcome to apply for Professional membership. If you have any queries about your eligibility, please contact
